  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 3 ½ Tbs sugar
  • ½ tsp lemon juice
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • Egg roll wrappers
  • Oil for frying
  • 1 c sugar (for cinnamon sugar)
  • 2 Tbs cinnamon
  • Optional toppings: caramel sauce, chocolate sauce, chopped strawberries

Instructions

  1. Heat about 2 inches of oil in a large pot to 375°F.
  2. In a mixer, beat cream cheese, sugar, lemon juice, vanilla, and salt until smooth.
  3. Lay an egg roll wrapper on your surface and add about 2 tablespoons of filling. Fold and seal.
  4. Prepare cinnamon-sugar by mixing sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
  5. Fry egg rolls in batches for about 2 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Roll hot egg rolls in cinnamon-sugar mixture and serve with desired toppings.
