  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup packed brown sugar
  • ½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, and a pinch of salt.
  3. Add melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients; mix until just combined.
  4. In another bowl, combine brown sugar and ground cinnamon for the filling.
  5. Spread half of the batter into the prepared pan and sprinkle with half of the cinnamon mixture. Layer remaining batter on top and finish with the rest of the cinnamon mix. Swirl gently with a knife.
