  • 2 cups (400 g) granulated sugar
  • 2 cups (336 g) semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup (109 g) finely chopped pecans

  2. In a medium heavy-bottom saucepan over medium heat, combine butter and sugar, stirring constantly until it reaches 285°F (140°C) and turns dark amber (about 35-45 minutes).
  3. Pour the hot candy mixture onto the lined baking sheet.
  4. Sprinkle semisweet chocolate chips on top and let them sit for 1-2 minutes to soften.
  5. Spread melted chocolate evenly over the toffee base using a spatula.
  6. Sprinkle finely chopped pecans on top and gently press them in.
  7. Allow the toffee to cool at room temperature for about an hour until set.
