- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
- 1–2 tablespoons milk
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together softened butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in maple syrup, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Gradually combine with the wet ingredients on low speed until just mixed.
- Roll dough into 1 1/2-inch balls and place them on prepared sheets, flattening slightly.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes until edges are golden and centers are set. Let cool before glazing.
- For the glaze, mix powdered sugar and maple syrup with milk to reach desired consistency; drizzle over cookies.
