  • 1 packet instant yeast (2 1/4 tsp)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 large egg
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries (finely chopped)
  • 1/4 cup strawberry jam
  • Ground cinnamon and brown sugar for filling

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, instant yeast, and salt. In another bowl, whisk together warm milk, melted butter, and egg. Combine the wet and dry ingredients until a soft dough forms.
  2. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth. Place it in a greased bowl and let it rise for an hour until doubled in size.
  3. Prepare the filling by mixing softened cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, chopped strawberries, and strawberry jam until smooth.
  4. Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle. Spread softened butter over it and then layer the cheesecake filling followed by cinnamon-sugar.
  5. Roll tightly into a log shape, slice into pieces, and arrange in a baking dish. Allow to rise again for about 30 minutes.
  6. Bake at 350°F for about 25 minutes until golden brown. Drizzle with cream cheese glaze before serving.
